- Most likely everyone knows what the conflicts are that we have today: a war with no end, a great dependence on oil that threatens our future, schools where too many students are not learning, and even families struggling to pay for their paycheck. Over the past six years, we have been making some progress about these specific problems already. But we still have a long way to go. We'll have to make hard choices, every single one of us. Each of us has to accept the responsibility to making a more competitive economy and strengthening our communities. With me to guide you, I ensure you, we will transform this nation at the best it can be, to be a more perfect union. Martin Luther King had once said, "I have a dream..." Well I have a very dream of my own. It is to transform the nation, and to win the battle for justice and opportunity. For families to have better schools, jobs, and health care. Divided, we are bound to fail, but together, we are destined to succeed. This campaign cannot only be about me. It is about what we Americans must and can do together, and that even through the many obstacles that we face, we can still overcome them all to create a powerful nation.
